There is not much money to be earned in mystery shopping, so it would be advisable to join a paid survey program, to then combine different types of surveys programs. All survey programs are different. Some programs are online based only.

Mystery shoppers will be hired to act as an everyday customer. Giving their opinion on experience, hospitality and so on. You can never really earn much from being a mystery shopper, up to $30 a job, or a free meal or gift vouchers. You will never become rich from acting as a mystery shopper.

Anyone can be a mystery shopper, there is no qualifications involved, any age, any background. Although you will need a few personal skills to get through. You must be observant and have a good memory as you will have to repeat your experience back to base. You must also be very discreet and never show you are a mystery shopper, because in effect you are undercover.

You can become a member of a focus group by joining a survey program.
Attending focus groups can be an interesting experience. A focus group is a form of qualitative research, where a group of people are interviewed on their opinions and whole perception on a product, advertisement or idea.
The focus group then discuss and debate the subject between themselves. Most of the time a focus group is held before a product becomes available to get an insight on acceptance a product.

There really is no major requirements to join a survey program. You need a computer with an internet connection. A bank account so you can receive the benefits, and a little bit of time an effort.
With some people having to work a few extra hours, and some even taking on a second job for extra income. Our lives seem to revolve around work and money, or lack of it.
